Initially raised from subscriptions. In the first year, it was proposed that the subscription be 10/- (50p). However, it was agreed that this be 5/- (25p) and that members could send more if they pleased.
The first Balance sheet was produced in 1927.
Proposal to offer Honorary Life Membership to men to a fee of £3. 3s. 0d.(three guineas - £3.15p).
Without all this administration by unpaid volunteers - their only recompense being their love of our game - the organisation of such magnanimous tasks would have been impossible. Thus women's cricket was born.
